Working Outside
As I am writing this blog post, I am outside with my beautiful pup. I have been working on my English essay, but I needed a break from the non-stop typing about Shakespeare. I completely, wholeheartedly recommend doing work outside. It can turn an annoying task into something you can somewhat enjoy. It also helps me a lot with doing homework for classes, because being outside reminds what I need to do. When I wanna go outside, I know that I won't be completely enjoying it with knowing that my work isn't done. In the winter, it's harder because I can just completely endorse myself into the television for a couple of hours before I actually think about doing homework (and by then it might be too late!) Or I can just lay on the couch and doze off a bit, in which I definitely forgot about all work waiting to be finished. It also helps me focus. Like a lot. No annoying television, people, or barking dog to distract me. Instead of being endorsed in the television, I'm endorsed in my work! Hallelujah! All I hear is the rushing water of the pond, the wind rustling through the trees, and the birds chirping. It's beautiful. Also, If i look up for some inspiration I see new life sprouting everywhere. Which is just beautiful. As for inside, I look up for inspiration and see Friends on the t.v. and immediately feel the need to pay attention to Joey making a sandwich instead of my biology homework. What I'm trying to say is EVERYONE SHOULD WORK OUTSIDE IN THE SPRING! It's just amazing and helps you so much in life, and it's so simple! It's feels so much better to work outside than to be crammed up into my living room.
Tips
- Surround yourself with work! Nothing that can distract you, like your phone! Turn on that airplane mode, because all you need is the outdoors!
- Bring a couple of snacks! (try to keep it healthy!) Get a smoothie and a bowl of veggies and dip to get your body energized to do some work! (refer to my quick afternoon snack post to get a healthy after-school snack idea!)
- If the wind is a bit chilly, bring out one of your fleece blankets! Don't give up and go back inside, solve your problem and stay outside!
- If its raining you can stay inside, but you can still go outside if you really want to! Put on that raincoat and go under your porch/ screened in porch!
- Even when it's not raining, I stay on my porch. I have a chair and a table to do my work on. But you can still venture all the way off the porch!
