Fortunately, not all of us suffer from poor health as all our lives. Those who do, usually learn to live with their disabilities. The rest of us can be a time in our lives where our health is not us and we feel helpless and depressed. Depression leads to inactivity and how Stevenson said, nothing is accomplished.

The other day, my wife and I went to our granddaughter's wedding. There I saw a young man struggling in these arm crutches, we see veterinarians with too often. He said: "Don 't you remember me? Half I from Arizona."

I not remember him as a healthy young missionary. In fact, I had delivered some of his personal effects to his family if we are to Idaho. He and his companions had helped to move our furniture in the turbulent trucks.

I learned from his family that he has a car accident. He was told he would never walk again. But this young man was tough, had heart and he had faith. Mix together and you have a young man who can walk-even if it takes every fiber of his will to do so. As the moves, the sweat flowing down his face. His face grimaces from the physical torture. He goes!

I was told that he had made great strides that he is doing much better now than a year ago. At the wedding ceremony, later in the day, he told me he had just graduated from university and was for medical school.

When I was in college, and again five years later, when I was in graduate school, a fellow student, had never completed due to his cerebral palsy was still trying it until the end of his period of study. He was in terrible straits, but he refused to give up. When his situation worsened, he fought harder. It was a pathetic sight of the extreme courage.

My sister suffered from polio. She was paralysed age of three and died at the age of nineteen. It has become an "adult" when she was very young because of their health problems. When I was a boy, I use to help her with her iron and leather braces, which always fall apart. Finally, her thirteenth surgery allows them to walk with a special shoe. It was a good writer, so that we know their thoughts. Her body was weak, but her brain and was strong.

So many suffer from so many different conditions. We should all take that very seriously and try to do our part to buoy up those who should be our encouragement. You can not want our sympathy, but they begraen our love and support.

Each of us is handicapped in some way. I love music, but have no talent for music but I have instilled declaration of love for the music in my children are musically talented, and they have the same for their children. Two of us tone deaf men in the church looking for two other men tone deaf, so that we can start a quartet. I can not overcome this deficiency. I look for other ways to get something for this valuable human race.

Maybe this is the answer. If we do not do what we want to do, maybe we find something we can do, despite our handicaps. We must be persistent, what we want to do and have confidence in ourselves to do so. We still can not and must try something else. But we will die trying.

I 'm also handicapped because I am more than weight. Let's see. I would much thinner.

Making Life Changes With Gratitude

There are a number of excellent self-help books on the market. We read them, we feel good, we want what they have to offer, but we still have a difficult time, the necessary changes lives. Life changes are not easy. The good news is that gratitude teaches us how these changes with ease! Gratitude is easy to understand and even easier to put into practice as part of our daily life. Everyone reacts to a large and positive attitude. The energy around this almost magical effect on them in our lives and the lives of those surrounding us. With gratitude, we can create our own magical life!

In my clinical experience I learned that my patients to be successful in achieving healthy lifestyle changes, a detailed plan of actions often must be for them. When I gently say, a patient they need to find specific exercises to improve their health or seriously lose weight, they often return to my office without each of the proposed action.

However plans or if I have them informative brochures , Educational reading materials, explain things in detail, book with a fitness trainer, nutritionist, naturopath, or whatever professional referral is necessary, and then send them on their way, they are much more enthusiastically make the effort to improve their way of life. In my opinion there is no better place to start when about a life change. I will begin by choosing games of gratitude "and" tools of gratitude. " Games of gratitude arose because I simply do not want to talk about gratitude, I wanted to design methodologies and tools that people could be used to help them understand the importance and value of gratitude. I wanted people to use immediately, and reap the benefits of their empowerment. The games and tools of gratitude revolve around our thinking and observation of the things for which we can be thankful and to become aware of the good things as we are about ourselves.

For example, I have what I call my gratitude Stone collection. Gratitude stones are striking glass stones, the specific requests in connection with gratitude (and the positive attitude encourage) beautifully etched on its surface. The collection includes several variations of these sophisticated gems as gratitude stones, stones of self-esteem and positive confirmation of the stones. The idea is to select a stone with a positive message or the feeling for you is important and then to take that stone with you anytime. This serves as a reminder of the mood or attitude you want to work on.

Another tool I'm using a my daughter and I designed gratitude on behalf of the stick. The gratitude Stick is a unique tool designed to help motivational an attitude of gratitude in our lives. In this way each person is encouraged to take a moment to think about and express feelings of gratitude loud and self-belief.
